You’ve signed up and want to put a nice friendly Flattr button on your site? This step-by-step guide explains how to get set up – quick and pain free.
1. Visit our Get button page (you need to be logged in)
2. Browse through the dozens of different platforms and content management systems to see if the one that powers your website is supported. If not then continue with step 4.
3. Pick your content platform and follow the instructions
4. If we don’t support your software or you want the code snippet for just one button you can place in a place of your choice then use the manual button creation option.
Fill out the required fields (URL, title, description, tags) as this information will be used in our Catalog where you site will be featured. - Click "Get button" - You now see the HTML code you need to put on your website. Below is a quick screencast showing the steps for that.
5. If you have full control over your website then add first bit of code inside the head tag and the second bit of code where you want the button to appear.
6. If you can’t edit the head of your website code (or you cannot add Javascript to your site) then scroll down to Static button and use this code.
7. That’s it, you’re done.
8. Promote your button – blog about it, tweet it to your followers, put it into your Facebook and/or Google+.

Putting up a button manually is pretty easy & straightforward. You could make a tutorial on how to put up a button that gets auto created on first click. To put such a button to blog posts etc.
Cyber: To manually submit and copy/paste the embed code is even simpler. Using the autosubmit for single posts is more complicated to me.
Are you planning on having the script in the future be able to access your Things, so you can select what thing you want and it would automatically insert the data for the URL, description etc.
I mean there are a lot of other things that I’m sure are more pressing, I know bug hunting is time consuming as well, just an idea to be considered when you get around to it.
P.S. Thanks for adding the music, I didn’t understand it but its a lot better than most American music. Care to have Molgan or Middlesex in the next video? Thats some good stuff.

My method on how to integrate a flattr button into a slideshare presentation (slideshare being a freemium slideshow hosting service) has become somewhat obsolete. Only somewhat because slideshare decided to convert parts of their user’s presentations to HTML5 whereas the rest is still in Flash.
The flattr button works nicely with the flash presentations, but I will have to device a new method to make the button useable after being converted to HTML5 – bear with me, I will let you guys n gals know ASAP once I found a nice and comfy way to flattr / be flattred on slideshare :D

If you’re a coder then you should check our API (developers.flattr.net), maybe you can/want to build something yourself. The only other option is to manually create a button for every single page of your website which depending on your site size can be very tedious work.

Can you use the get code button to add to facebook page?
You can’t see this “Get Button” link if you log in today.
But it is available in the footer of the dashboard: “Tools / Add to Flattr”.
I searched a few time to find it.
Any way how to add a button that creates the URL and the title dynamically from the current page? The usual social share buttons offer the option to leave the URL empty so that it will be retrieved automatically.
